Shoes! Can You Ever Have Enough?

Academy is giving an additional 50% off of their entire stock of Clearanced Footwear. My dear husband just mentioned that he needed a new pair. Guess I am headed their way tonight. They also have their men's, women's and children's flip flops or water shoes (Tredz) on sale $2.99 - $12.99.

I love flip flops and have a closet full, but I don't think you can ever have enough shoes.

Because of some things that happened in my past, I will be forever be grateful to certain non-profit groups in Baton Rouge. I am also a huge advocate of animal rescue groups. I belong to Old English Sheepdog Rescue Network and am a foster mom for this breed of dogs.

What To Buy 6/24-6/30 at Albertsons

The deals are extremely slim this week at Albertsons. The only things I see that I am interested in are:

There is a $5/$50 coupon on the sales paper but I want to caution you as the wording on the coupon has that this coupon is only valid AFTER all other coupons have been used. Be Warned!

6/24-6/30 Cheap Kelloggs Corn Pops & Milk

This week you can get a FREE gallon of milk when you purchase 4/$10 boxes of Kellogg's Corn Pops at Winn Dixie. If you still have the $1.50/1 coupon on the Kellogg's cereal the math is:

4/$10 = $10
4 x $1/50/1 = -$6
Total oop = $4 for 4 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk

Eat Cakesters & Then Brush Your Teeth

This week I am stockpiling Oreo Cakesters and Aquafresh Toothpaste.

Walgreens has the Oreo Cakesters on sale 2/$5. I use 2 x $1/1 MQs for a total oop of $3.27 (incl tax) and got back a $3 Register Reward. I then used the $3 RR from the Oreo's to pay for the Aquafresh on sale for $3 - $3 RR = .27 total oop. I rolled these back and forth and now I have 82 Boxes of Cakesters and 41 tubes of Aquafresh.

Just remember to eat the Cakesters and brush your teeth afterwards.

The Who, What, and Why of this Blog

I am what you would call an "extreme" couponer. I started this extreme lifestyle a year ago when my husband became disabled and our goal became to get the items we needed for as little out of pocket as possible.

I am 44 years old and have two human sons, 23 and 20, and three Old English Sheepdogs that are my babies. I live with my husband (who has progressive Multiple Sclerosis) and my 20 yr old son (who has Asperger's Syndrome) in Baton Rouge, LA.

This blog will be primarily devoted to the stores and the deals that are here in Baton Rouge.
