In the ad for this week at Walgreens, you will find the Triaminic deal. Buy two and get $5 in register rewards. It's being reported that if you buy two, then two $5 rr print out instead of one. It works for the grape night time and the allergy strips. Great deal, but it gets even better. Pick up a Healthy Savings booklet and use 2 of the $2/1 Triaminic coupons and you've got yourself a money maker. Ask someone at Wags if you don't see the booklets.
Thanks to Karmen at Ohsofrugal and ilovetoteach at WUC for the help with this one!

Walgreens-Spend $25 and get a $5 RR
This offer is good through Saturday. Spend $25 at Walgreens and receive a $5 register reward. It will not work on the usual purchases (prescriptions, lottery, tobacco, dairy, money orders, liquor, and stamps). I heard that it will work on your total before coupons. Combine with awesome deals, register rewards, and coupons and you might just have a money making trip to Wags!

I Have A "Thing" For Shoes!

I admit it - I run around in "flip-flops" or "thongs" shoes the entire summer and most of the fall especially with the heat here in Louisiana. I loaded up tonight on 6 pairs of these (2 for my son & 4 for me).
Walgreen's has them on clearance for 75% off making all 4 of mine $1.24 each. Now I could have waited for them to go even cheaper but I have a slight problem. I wear a size 10 or 11 in shoes so they tend to have only a few of these sizes. So I went ahead and grabbed them now.
If you also have a "thing" for shoes - make sure you grab some before your size is gone. I found these at the Walgreen's at the corner of Airline & Old Hammond.

Walgreen's Coupon Policy
1. Walgreens does allow stacking. This means they will allow you to use one Walgreens store coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon for the same item.
2. When purchasing two of the same item that is on sale as a Buy One Get One Free – you can use a BOGO manufacturer’s coupon on that product or 1 manufacturer’s coupon only.
3. If you have a product on sale for .79 (for example) and a coupon is given with a face value of $1.00 – you will get the full $1.00 off. No money will be given back so you must purchase another item. The overage from the original item will go towards the second item purchased.
4. You may use coupons on clearance items.
5. The term “one coupon per purchase” means per item purchased.
6. They will accept internet printable coupons.
7. They will NOT accept expired coupons.
8. They no longer have rebates.
9. Register Rewards: Walgreens Register Rewards are Catalina coupons which print up separately from your register receipt after you purchase qualifying items. The Register Rewards can be used like cash on your next purchase.
Catalina machines are generally programmed to print one Register Reward coupon for one qualifying item. If you purchase more than one of the same qualifying items per transaction, you will only receive one Register Reward coupon.
In order to get more than one Register Reward coupon when purchasing more than one of the same qualifying items, request that the each item be rung up on a separate transaction. If you purchase different qualifying items in the same transaction you will receive one register reward for each item.
Note: In some areas the request for separate transactions may be denied. If so - find another Walgreen's that will allow you to do so. There are plenty of Walgreen's store locations in this area.

On sale BOGO was Neutrogena cosmetics so I purchased 2 blushes on clearance 50% off, and 2 facial makeup removers. I used 4 x $3/1 MQs = all FREE
2 12 packs of Diet Coke - I had enough overage because of the coupons and ECBs used to purchase these items to get the Diet Cokes.
Bic Truimph Roller Pens were also BOGO and I had IP MQs that made all of them free.
With everything you see pictured and including my taxes was less than $40.00.
Just the Starbucks at a regular price of $7.99 a 4 pack would have been over $160.00
Not a bad day shopping. However, later I did hit Target and Dollar General but that tale is for another day.

An Ice Cold Starbuck's Frappucino!

My dear husband is a coffee fanatic. Starting Sunday, 7/26 - Walgreens will have the Starbuck's Frappuccino 9.5 oz bottles on sale for 4/$5 when you. In the 6/21 Smart Source insert there was a $1/1 Starbucks bottle of Frappuccino.
Here's the scenario:
Buy 4 Frappuccino's using Walgreens Instant Value Coupon (this is the coupons that you regularly see at the bottom of Walgreen's weekly sales circular = $5.00
Use 4 x $1/1 MQ = -$4.00
Total oop = $1.00 plus tax for 4 bottles of Frappucccino's
I did find the coupons available on Ebay. If you purchase the coupons on Tuesday morning, pay with paypal - you will have them in plenty of time for the sale on 7/26.
I purchase 60 of them for $14.97 so if I do the math:
60 Frappucinos using the IVC @ 4/$5 = 15 x $5 = $75.00
Add the cost of the coupons = $14.97
Subtotal = $89.97
Use the 60 $1/1 coupons = -$60.00
Total = $29.97 plus tax for 60 = .50 a bottle. Still a great deal for dear husband.

Walgreens $5/$25 - Cheap Huggies Pull Ups Only Good Friday 7/17

In case you didn't get the email, Walgreens just released a new $5/$25 coupon HERE -- good tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday. The coupon states that the $25 must be AFTER all coupons and discounts, but check with your Walgreens first because some of them are fine with you using the coupon before manufacturer coupons (it's really up to each Walgreens).
This is the scenario I figured out:
Purchase 2 Huggies Pull-ups - $10 each
Purchase 2 Coppertone Nutrashield with Dual Defense - $10.99 each
Use 2 x $5/1 Nutrashield printable coupons
Use 2 x $2/1 Pull-ups coupons - register and you can print 2 of them off here
Use $5/$25 Walgreens coupon
Pay $22.98 out of pocket
Get back $15 in Register Rewards!
$7.98 after coupons and Register Rewards
Now I do not have any small children but I will be donating the Huggies to the Battered Women's shelter where I know they can be used.
